Bishop Gregory Homeming

Bishop Gregory Homeming O.C.D. is the Bishop of the Diocese of Lismore in Northern NSW. Prior to being ordained a Priest he worked as a solicitor with a Bachelor Degree in Economics and Law from Sydney University. He joined the Discalced Carmelite Order in 1985, eventually being ordained a Priest in 1991. Bishop Homeming held positions of Major Superior, Novice Master, Prior and Director of Retreats and, Regional Vicar (Major Superior) in his order.

He was ordained a Bishop on the 22nd of February 2017 by the Archbishop of Sydney, Most Reverend Anthony Fisher OP. Upon his appointment, Bishop Homeming adopted the motto, “God Alone Suffices” by St Teresa of Avila, who was the founder of the Carmelite Order.

 

Bishop Homeming also has degrees in the Bachelor of Theology from the Melbourne College of Divinity and a Master of Arts in Philosophy from the University of Melbourne.

Deacon Harold

Famously known as the “Dynamic Deacon”, Deacon Harold Burke-Sivers is one of the most sought after speakers in the Catholic Church. He is a powerful and passionate evangelist and preacher, whose “no-nonsense” approach to living and proclaiming the Catholic Faith is sure to inspire and challenge those who hear him.

Deacon Harold holds a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Economics and Business from the University of Notre Dame, and a Master of Theological Studies Degree from the University of Dallas. He is a Benedictine Oblate of Mt. Angel Abbey, and retains a deep love for the Benedictine spirituality. The Dynamic Deacon is also a member of the Fellowship of Catholic Scholars and the Confraternity of the Catholic Clergy.

Deacon Harold travels across the world hosting talks to anyone who desires to know Jesus intimately, helping them gain a deeper and personal relationship with Our Lord. His main areas of expertise include; marriage and family life, discerning the will of God, the sacraments, male spirituality, pro-life issues, evangelisation and prayer.
